Project_Summary: I designed the website for my law firm, Livesay & Myers. Our site is at www.lawyers-virginia.com. I designed the site with Dreamweaver 8. The homepage has a dropdown menu I designed using Dreamweaver's Show Pop-Up Menu behavior. [At www.lawyers-virginia.com, it's the horizontal bar with Home, Practice Areas, Attorneys, Contact Info, Links, News, and En Espanol.] However, because the site uses templates, the dropdown menu will only work on the homepage-- it doesn't work on any other pages of the site. I have since read that "if you plan to use template pages, add the pop-up menu before saving the file as a template. If you add the pop-up menus later, the links won't work." That's exactly what happened here. I've also read about other problems with the Dreamweaver Show Pop-Up Menu behavior. The solution to all these isues, I've read, is: "just don't use Dreamweaver's pop-up menus. You'll find a more advanced pop-up menu system in Fireworks 8... You can use Fireworks to build a much more functional pop-up menu, and then export it for use in Dreamweaver." So, that's basically what I'd like to hire someone to do: design a more functional drop-down menu for me using another program Fireworks (or a similar program) for me to import into my site. The dropdown menu needs to be horizontal like the one on the homepage, and contain the same links (and sublinks under the Practice Areas dropdown). And I need to be able to easily import it into my site. Most importantly, it needs to work on every page of the site. It doesn't have to look exactly the same-- presumably you might be able to make it look a bit better-- but it needs to work the same, have the same links, and work on EVERY page of the site.
